This is a completely domestically produced Edo Kiriko made by traditional craftsman Yasunori Kimura.

The history of Edo Kiriko began in the Edo period, and as a valuable craft that conveys the life of Edo to the present. Received designation as a traditional Japanese craft.

All works are handmade by skilled craftsmen. By applying a high degree of cutting by a traditional craftsman to a glass of pure domestic crystal glass, the transparency and brilliance are maximized.

I carved a typical pattern of Edo Kiriko, "Yarai crest".

Yarai refers to the shape of alternating bamboo and logs, Yarai The fence is also used in the very beginning of castle construction and stage sets.

It is one of the very auspicious traditional patterns that are said to "make the foundation of things" and "solidify the foundation".
