Aomori's nature deep and bosom Wide green handmade glass

A deep and beautiful green created by the nature of Aomori

The characteristics of Tsugaru Vidro are the soft curves created by traditional air-blowing techniques and the vivid yet calming colors. It is said that this deep and beautiful green glass was the first color of Tsugaru Vidro, which now produces more colors.
Sand from Shichirinagahama, Aomori Prefecture, used by a glass craftsman by chance. By adding familiar materials, Tsugaru Vidro has gained a new appeal of expressing the colors of nature with glass.
The pedestal glass of Nanari Nagahama, which has a beautiful calm green, is impressive with the mysterious and nostalgic "Tsugaru Green" created by nature. At one point, the manufacturing method was cut off, but the craftsmen revived it through trial and error.
The colors and simple design that match perfectly with both pottery and wooden vessels will gently color various dining tables, both Japanese and Western.

Compared to the long sandy beach that stretches for Nanasato (about 28km), I would like to recommend it as a gift for longevity.

A traditional air-blown glass that captures the nature of Tsugaru on glass

Hokuyo Glass Co., Ltd. is a glass manufacturer founded in 1945. Originally, I made floating glass balls for use in the fishing industry. It was the craftsmen's "air blowing" technology that made the floating balls that were durable and boasted the highest production in Japan.
It is a technique to shape the glass wound on a rod by blowing it in the air without using a mold. It is extremely difficult to make a round floating ball by blowing in the air. However, the craftsmen sought high quality and refined their skills. The technique cultivated in making floating balls has been selected as the first traditional craft of Aomori.

One of the attractions of Tsugaru Vidro is the brightly colored glass that many people cite. While making various products, I was fascinated by the accidentally discovered colored glass making, and now I am making various colored glass that reproduces the natural colors.
What is expressed in the glass is the natural beauty of Tsugaru. Its delicate and vivid colors are now attracting attention from around the world.
