We use leather from Tochigi Leather, a long-established tannery that Japan is proud of.
This is vegetable tanned leather that is carefully processed using natural ingredients. Enjoy the natural look and aging of leather.

【Size】

・Book dimensions: height 152mm x width 105mm, thickness up to approximately 30mm

*Not compatible with Hayakawa tall size (long size) with a height of 156 mm.

[Japanese craftsman finish Classic]
The genuine leather book cover is made of Tochigi leather. The thickness of the leather is as solid as about 1.5 mm. The book cover has a thread for attaching the original bookmark, so you don't have to worry about dropping the bookmark. When not in use, it can be removed for use. -Classic series: Uses Nume leather that has both firm hardness and moist softness. Finished with a technique called "oil pull-up" that is oiled, you can enjoy a natural shine with a texture and a smooth feel.

[About Tochigi leather used]
This leather is a tannin tanned leather that is tanned by soaking cowhide in a shibu tank for about a month, and is a material colored only with dye. Recently, it has been reviewed as a natural material with an ecological sense, and by developing various treatment methods, it brings out a firmness and supple softness, and the glossy appearance has a natural shine with a texture, and it is with the conventional slime. Can now be used in a wider range of applications as a significantly different leather.
Leather is soaked with oil (oil pull-up leather) to add suppleness and give it even more depth.
